New Tiguan

The electronic stabilisation program with countersteering assistance incl. ABS with brake assist, ASR (traction control), EDS (electronic differential lock), MSR (engine drag torque control) and trailer stabilisation intervenes in the braking and engine management systems in such a way as to keep the vehicle on course in critical driving situations. This helps the car to achieve maximum directional stability. The electronic stabilisation program cannot defy the laws of physics, however, meaning it is still imperative to drive in a careful manner.

Whether on the road or off it – the chassis of the new Tiguan is designed to handle all manner of different surfaces with masterful ease: the 4MOTION permanent four-wheel drive distributes the full drive power to optimum effect between the front and rear axles, and between the wheels on each axle. The system detects any deviations in the surface conditions within a fraction of a second, and compensates for them so that you don't notice a thing.

Sporty, comfortable, standard – however you prefer to drive, the Adaptive Chassis Control (DCC) is able to react accordingly. It gives you a choice of three chassis settings. The electrically adjustable dampers adapt automatically at the push of a button, as does the electromechanical power steering. At the same time, the DCC reacts permanently to the changing driving situation, factoring in vehicle braking, steering and acceleration too, for a major improvement in handling characteristics.
