The clear test winner
The challenge is not to be underestimated. Nevertheless, in the direct comparison test with the BMW 320i by "auto motor und sport" (issue 22/05) the Jetta 2.0 FSI (fuel consumption: 8.0 – 8.4 l/100 km; CO2 emissions: 191 – 199 g/km) puts in more than just a good showing. Not only its agility, comfortable sports suspension and propulsive power are impressive; its spacious luggage compartment and convincing price/performance ratio speak for themselves, too.
